Williams, AJ and Harrelson

I posted earlier this week that Harrelson will possibly not be on the team next year.  There was a huge following of when I would post more and when I would have confirmation.  Trying to provide up to date information is my goal, and when something is said I will post it, only if it has been posted somewhere else or if I get information from a source.  I will confirm all of my posts when UK officially announces any changes in the roster.

Like I said above, I will confirm my post when UK SID releases the changes that are going to take place.  So, if you are waiting for confirmation you will get it when they make their release, whenever they decide to.

Here’s a link that sheds more light on the status of players…as UK has not even made an official announcement of anyone leaving the team other than Michael Porter.

John Wall to Visit Who?

There are some reports that John Wall is going to visit North Carolina Central???Really? He is set to visit the NCCU Eagles and will not cut his list until next week. I don’t mean to make light of any school he chooses to visit, but this is probably a huge shock to everyone. NCCU was 4-27 last year so I don’t think they will be in the hunt for much of anything next year.
I am not sure if this is true, but we will find out tomorrow at the latest.

Patrick Patterson Best Video Ever

This is absolutely great, I loved every second of it.  Jodie dancing in the background made it even better.  I have to say that AJ is the better singer out of the two, but just a great video.

Lance Stephenson’s Issue

Lance Stephenson is no doubt a tremendous talent who could play anywhere and be an immediate impact, but the question is his attitude.  Could this kids attitude be so bad that schools would pass up on him?  This could truly be the first statement from Calipari that shows he is willing to recruit the best talent unless they are not the right type of person.  I am not trying to knock the kid in any way at all, but he has had troubles with the law and with his ego.  First with the law there was the incident at school.

Then the most well known part of Stephenson is “Born Ready”…..

Stephenson is awesome and I would love to have him at UK, but Coach Cal knows what we need and what we don’t need…so I trust him 100% if the Stephenson has in fact contacted Calipari and Coach passes on him. But as some believe, there could be that chance that Stephenson could find his way to Europe since college seems to be a bust at this point.

Rumors Swirl about Wall to UK

So much for no Wall talk tonight, because the rumor mill has been swirling. Message board posters have been saying that Gidel is reporting Wall is going to commit to UK. KSR shut their live blog down early to do more research on the rumors. The Rivals message boards are booming with all of the infamous posters who have all of the news.
The things we have heard tonight is that Wall will possibly have a presser Friday to announce his shortened list or to commit to UK, depending on who you are wanting to listen too. The piece of news of course is that Rob Gidel apparently says Wall will make his commitment to UK.
It is easy to be swept away by any rumors that Wall will play for Kentucky next year, and rightfully so, we should be swept away by the possibility of a player of his talent coming to UK.
At the least we should know what is going on tomorrow, Friday or this weekend, or at a later date.

2010 Recruits

Tonight I am going to step away from the usual Wall/Bledsoe/Harrelson/Patterson/Meeks talk and focus on the 2010 recruits.  Tomorrow I will get back to the 2009 recruits and roster.

Josh Smith 6-10/270 Center from Covington, Washington…

Brandon Knight 6-3/185 Point Guard from Coral Springs, Florida…

Harrison Barnes 6-6/206 Forward from Ames, Iowa….

Dominique Ferguson 6-9, 210 Forward from Indianapolis, IN, a former UK commitment, but has opened his search for a school back up. We will see what happens when Calipari gets a chance to put the full court press on.

Jeremy Tyler…never mind, he is going to play overseas, sorry Louisville.

Joe Jackson, 5-11/150 Point Guard from Memphis, Tennessee…

Doron Lamb 6-4/175 Combo Guard from Oak Hill Academy…

Roscoe Smith 6-8/180 Forward from Baltimore, Maryland…

Those recruits would all be great for UK and I am sure once we figure out next year it is going to be very exciting to see how 2010 shapes up.

Lunch Time Post

Waiting on Wall…that seems to be on everyone’s mind in the ACC as well as UK and Florida.  Maybe we will have some sort of indication about who will be on his final list this soon.

Bledsoe seems to be more involved in the picture, at least he is getting more publicity.  Bledsoe is a good player but the biggest question is whether or not he can qualify academically.

Calipari posted on his twitter this morning that he is hoping to have some individual meetings with players today.  Whether that happens today or in the next few days we know that it will likely clear up some of the questions that everyone has about the roster.

Of course I have to give Rondo some love today….

What A Game

Watching the Celtics/Bulls game was amazing it was a true battle that only allowed the Bulls to be in the game because no KG and no Ray Allen to finish the game.  Rondo was awesome scoring, dishing and rebounding.  He has continued to back up everything that Barkley has been saying about him. He finished the game with 28 points 8 rebounds and 11 assists, not quite the triple double but a great game.

This has definitely been the most exciting series of the Playoffs without question.  UK fans should be very proud of Rondo and how he is representing.  Could you imagine him under Caliapri?

More On Harrelson

In the earlier post today I said that Harrelson may no longer be a Wildcat.  This received many replies and posts on other sites, which was good to see all of the views and comments that people made.  I still stand by that statement that I received a phone call stating that Harrelson will not be a Wildcat next season.  I followed that call up with many conversations and  a post stating he may not be.  It is pretty general knowledge that the roster will take more shape possibly by the end of the week.  It is also has been reported through several media outlets, most notably WLEX that Harrelson did post on his facebook that he is going to be on the roster next season, but later took that post down.  Matt Jones from KSR also said that Harrelson’s friends said he made that post to get a rise out of people.  Comments have also been made that Calipari was impressed with Harrelson, but he did not expect much in the first place.  There has been chatter on message boards that Calipari was not pleased with Harrelson’s post on facebook.  That is the skinny on the Harrelson situation…as there are some indicators pointing to him not returning as well as some conversations going on within UK that he is not going to be on the team.  Take that for what you want.

Here is a poll that I was informed of tonight….UK is the number 2 favorite to win it all  next year!
