There’s nothing like a little “men vs. women” debate to liven up your Big Blue Friday, is there?  Today, Mr. Three Goggles himself threw down the gauntlet, claiming Coach Cal’s top ranked fellas would lay the smack down on Matthew Mitchell’s #5 team in the country.  By 100 points, to be exact.   

While I’m sure it’s all fun and games, I’d love to know what A’dia Mathies and the rest of the Lady Wildcats have to say.   Both teams support each other and I’m sure a little smack talk happens all the time.  College athletes are a pretty competitive bunch.  It’s in their nature.  How great is it that both teams are among the nation’s best?  Just think, a drunk named Gillispie used to roam Rupp Arena’s sidelines and the women’s team hadn’t found their stride yet.  Now, UK basketball dominates both landscapes.  Nice, isn’t it? 

I smell a charity game/grudge match.  Somebody call Papa John’s and Raising Cane’s for concessions.   Famous Canadian Dom Papa could do the color commentary.  We need sponsors since the Susan G. Komen Foundation is no longer taking my calls.  What would the over/under be?  What about the spread?  Would both teams have to use the regular sized basketball or the women’s sized basketball?  Would the losing team have to crossdress for a week?  Which men’s player would look best in a pink sundress and stilleto heels?  Which women’s player would style the Demarcus Cousins winter hat and Peter Parker glasses?
