With all of the basketball news, we have not forgotten about football.  Today kicked off UK spring football practice.  This year will be another great year for UK coming off of it’s 3rd straight bowl win.  We will be following the development of the team and will have a detailed break down of the Blue/White Game on April 25th, 1:30.

The 2009 schedule has been completed:

Sept. 5 vs. Miami (in Cincinnati)
Sept. 19 Louisville
Sept. 26 Florida
Oct. 3 Alabama
Oct. 10 at South Carolina
Oct. 17 at Auburn
Oct. 24 Louisiana-Monroe
Oct. 31 Mississippi State
Nov. 7 Eastern Kentucky
Nov. 14 at Vanderbilt
Nov. 21 at Georgia
Nov. 28 Tennessee

This years recruiting class is made up of several 4 star recruits and many 3 star recruits, which is a huge accomplishment for UK.  This class is of course made up of the two great quarterbacks Morgan Newton and Ryan Mossakowski.  There are many players that are very big commitments and will make UK a contender in the SEC.

Returning this year we will have of course Micah Johnson, Randall Cobb, Trevard Lindley, Cory Peters and Jeremy Jarmon.  Micah will be the man that really steps it up this coming season and will have a huge season.  Randall Cobb will be playing a position that will allow him to display all of his skills.  Trevard Lindley is a player that I look to be receiving post season awards.  Cory Peters and Jeremy Jarmon will be even more improved and giving offensive lines all sorts of problems.
